
I’m constantly on the hunt for a miracle potion that will boost my immunity, make my skin shine and restore my energy! While I typically prefer to eat my calories rather than drink them, I’ve seen enough people chugging down tiny vials of turmeric to make me wonder if wellness shots are what have been missing from my life. Wellness shots are perfect for when you need a bit of a boost and as we are supposed to eat a rainbow of foods a different coloured juice each day can help you get enough vitamins and antioxidants to make you radiant! They are all much lower in sugar than usual juices due to the high veggie content and have a high concentration of vitamins and minerals! Using a blender to juice means there is only a small amount of clean up and not peeling ginger is what I have been told works best as lots of the nutrients are in and near the skin and you will be removing the fibre otherwise! I also know that the yellow lemon skin is edible but will make your juice bitter, but it does contain a lot of nutrition so I tend to peel citrus roughly and include just a small amount of skin. Finally, this might sound a little hairy (excuse the pun) but It’s fine to keep the skin on your kiwifruit and is recommended to get the most vitamins. Juice the whole apple apart from the stem as it can make the juice bitter.
LEAFY GREENS SHOT
- 1 Lime
- 1 handful Leafy Greens like Kale or Spinach
- 1 handful Herbs like Mint or Parsley
- 2 sticks Celery
- 1 Kiwifruit

CARROT TURMERIC SHOT
- 3 Carrots
- 1 Lemon, peeled
- 1″ Ginger
- ½ tsp Turmeric

CAYENNE GINGER SHOT
- 1 Lemon, peeled
- 4″ Ginger
- a pinch Cayenne pepper
- a few tbsp Water

BEETROOT LEMON SHOT
- 1 Beetroot, including tops if possible
- 1 Apple
- 1 Lemon, peeled
